About Us

Welcome to Designs By Maia - we are a (very) small business based in my little office in Nottingham, selling an array of greeting cards, stationery & personalised items.

It all started when I was at University and couldn’t afford to buy some prints that I wanted for my bedroom wall. I decided to make them myself and they turned out well, so I opened my Etsy shop and started to sell them! Over the years I have dipped in and out of my shop, my products and my brand has changed a lot, but what hasn’t changed is that I still absolutely love being creative (and can't sit still for 5 minutes)! I now make & sell my products when I am not doing my 'day job'. I also occasionally (often) rope my other half, Dave, in to help me - a lot of the wood engravings are his manual labour & I definitely couldn’t do it all without him!

Almost everything is made to order so custom requests are also available & very much welcomed!
